荆楚理工学院2020年专升本《基础英语》考试大纲

一、考试性质

“专升本”《基础英语》考试是为选拔英语专科应届优秀毕业生进入本科学习，在英语读、写、译的能力和实际运用语言的能力上的必要基础考试，以尽快适应本科学习对英语基础技能要求。

二、考试目的

本次考试的目的主要是测试考生在英语语言文化和综合运用方面是否具有本科学习的能力。

三、考试内容：

《现代大学英语精读》(第1册)教学大纲所涵盖的内容（Unit1-Unit8）：

Unit1 Half a Day

1、掌握句子释义，重点词汇clutch, convince, cling, overlook, revolve, trace, daze…和短语hrow sb. into/out of a place, burst into, fool around, give rise to , resort to等语言点的意思及运用

2、理解修辞疑问句、倒装句等修辞手法

3、深刻理解文章内涵及作者的写作意图

4、 运用所学知识对文章相关问题展开讨论，并运用文章的写作手法进行作文写作

Unit2 The Boy and the Bank Officer

1、happen to do，overlighted, fortyish, authority，more than等核心词汇

2、掌握happen to do, in the first place, overlighted, authority, more than, think twice about, as to whether, no…but to, one cannot but do, move in sth., zero in on sth, damn等短语

3、难句讲解 ：Everything about him suggested a carefully dressed authority；Now if you will excuse me；Look, we’re just wasting each other’s time.等

Unit3 Message of the Land

1、分析篇章结构

2、marry, afford to, barter, replace, litter等核心词汇

3、同形词辨析

4、理解难句：My husband moved into our house as is the way with us in Esarn.；and tell us that they are doing well. I know this is not always true.等

Unit4 The Midnight Visitor

1、掌握文章的结构，文中重点词汇、短语的意义和用法，及构词法

1）词汇：floppy, accent, automatic, blink, command, concerning, confounded, disillusioned, explanatory, glance, stiffly, frustrated, extend, hesitate, risk, slip, stammer, start, figure, swiftly,  thrill等

2）短语：secret agent, deal in sth, check on, deal with, raise the devil with sb., stand aside, take chances等

2、通过篇章结构分析，掌握文章的主旨大意和写作方法

3、人物素描手法的内涵和意义

4、文章戏剧化的情节和结局赏析

Unit5 The Nightingale and the Rose

1、解析长难句“I have read all that the wise men have written, and all the secrets of philosophy are mine, yet for want of a red rose my life is made wretched. (Para. 3)”等

2、核心词汇学习：fling, bloom, ebb, linger, pluck, frown, ungrateful, something of a(n), see about doing, see sth. out, go about sth.

3、学习诗歌语言欣赏及童话的写作特点，如拟人、象征等，理解文章的喻意

4、短语辨析：go about sth，go by sth.，go into，go through

5、构词法：Noun+Noun；Prefix—“out”；Root—“press”

Unit6 The Green Banana

1、掌握文章的结构，文中重点词汇、短语的意义和用法，以及构词法

 1）词汇：acceptance, appreciate, assure, breakthrough, casually, destination, encounter, occasion, origin, identity, ignorance, instantly, leak, numerous, perspective, potential, relate, scattered, tease, tend  

 2） 短语：call ~, consist of, dawn on, meet one’s need, make ends meet, reflect on/upon, strain up, work out

2、理解文章的象征意义，进而深刻理解故事叙述之外深层的文化内涵，讨论文章主题的现实意义

3、掌握文中描述活动场景的行为动词、象声词、同义词、短句、断句和比喻句

Unit7 Inter-lesson （1）测试题

Unit8 The Kindness of Strangers

1、掌握词汇短语

   to come upon, to leave sb./sth. done , gamble, pull, would rather等

2、 理解课文结构及写作特点（plot, setting, theme of the story,structure）

3、理解文章主旨

四、考试形式及时间

1、考试方式：笔试、闭卷

2、考试时间：90分钟

3、总    分：150分
